Hunter Bates to focus on Late Model's in 2012
Hunter Bates will be focusing on his Late Model program only in
2012, Bates, 16 of Middlebury, VT has had great success as the
pilot of the #9 Windy Hollow Homes, Bob Howard Auto Dirt
Modified over the last few years and in 2011 the Team
purchased the Late Model assets of Waterford Speedbowl
Champion Timmy Jordan.
Hunter's Late Model Career started our Rocky as the youngster
had a hard wreck at Lee Speedway at the opening event for the
American-Canadian Tour.
For the rest of 2011 Hunter ran a dual program at Devils Bowl, he
ran his Dirt Type Modified and the ACT Type Late Model. The
Team would get the car together and try a couple more events
before settling down to race the Weekly "Pro Late Model" Division
at Hunter's Home track; Devils Bowl Speedway.
What a great decision that was for Hunter and the Team as they
would get valuable seat time in the Late Model and would go on
to capturing the Championship Title in the Division. Hunter also
finished third in points with his Modified as well.
We are working hard to be fresh for 2012, we are excited as we
prepare for Lee Speedway to redeem ourselves and you can
look for the #9 Late Model at a track near you! We will post our
schedule as soon as we have it worked out.
